City of Steam Early Access Beta May 10th!

   Mechanist Games just announced today that they will be going into an early access Beta on May 10th for City of Steam. This is the news I've been waiting for since I first found out about City of Steam at PAX East. An amazing world of Steam Punk here I come!

  Anyone who doesn't remember anything from my previous post on City of Steam. It's a web browser based MMO-RPG, based in a Steam Punk/Clock Works world. I'll post the original interview I had with Gab Laforge of Mechanist Games at the bottom of the post.

  Since the closed Beta ended in December for City of Steam, Mechanist Games has been working hard on  developing the game for this next phase in the beta. It looks like this is going to be an exclusive "early access" beta, and it's the ramp up to the Open Beta. They plan on starting with three classes (Gunner, Arcanist, Warden), and four races (Heartlanders, Stoigmari, Avens and Ostenians), an
d then as the beta goes on they will eventually add the fourth class (Channeler) and the other seven races. They also are stating on the website that a character wipe is not planned, and that they are going to do everything they can to avoid it, but if something problematic pops up, they might have to.
